I was one in a group who played at The Thistle Golf Club. We played 3 holes and got soaked and cold. We went to the pro shop only to be told that no rain checks would be given. I made 3 calls to the course to voice disappointment and ask about for clarification about their rain check policy. Never did get a straight answer and was told that we should have stayed because it quit raining 15 minutes after we left, but we were already soaked and cold. Also, I do not believe it quit. Previously I had been told by Dennis that the rain check policy was pro-rated based on number of holes that were rained out / not played.
I called and talked to Dennis and explained my groups situation and was told by Dennis that he was not present at the time and could not help. He was extremely rude both on the phone and in person.
It was not raining when we went out because we would not have gone out as we are retired and there is always tomorrow and now many other places to play!
You treat customers badly, they will return the favor. No one in our foursome will ever be back. We will also warn others.
