The course has, at best, average greens that are located in what can be described as a cow pasture or a mud bog.

The Pro Shop had an “I don-t care attitude” and put all the blame on the Islip Town supervisor for cutting funds. And of course funds are badly needed to improve the Tee Boxes which in this case is nothing but crab grass when there is any grass. It’s the downward spiral. If the course is not maintained, people will not play, which means less revenue which means less maintenance which means less play and so on and so on...

The traps are horrible, filled with rocks, not small gravel, but good sized Rocks. I almost knocked a ladies eye out hitting my ball from a trap when a large stone (obscured from view by the little sand present) sailed out and hit the Women in the head!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would travel: 0-10 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: Better courses for less nearby, Worse than average course for the area
