Ravisloe was a private club that opened to the public a couple of years ago. It is a Donald Ross course--enough said. You seldom find a private course open to the public. This is why I play Ravisloe every trip to Chicagoland. The early 20th century course layout is different from the courses built after World War II.
Would travel: 0-10 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again
