We played New Years Day. After all the rain, I picked this course because it drains relatively well. Roddy nearby also drains well, but we had played that 2 days before.
Deer Ridge was in good shape. The greens were receptive, but not mushy and the fairways still had some roll. We played in 4.25 hours which was OK for our foursome (between 9-15 course handicap off blue tees).
I'll definitely be back again, between Shadow, Deer and nearby Roddy there is enough variety, and a good deal can usually be found, which makes it well worth the 35-40 minute ride.
Would travel: 30-60 Miles
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Ranks with the best in this price level
