The fairways and greens were soft because of extra water needed due to the heat but the conditions were great anyway. The pace of play for a tuesday was way too slow. It took 5 1/2 hours to play and we waited on every tee box but that is my only complaint. The scenery and course are really the best in the area and the layout is a challenge in some spots and easy in others. It's really a nice blend of holes for any level of golfer.
The staff is friendly and professional and I would recommend this course to all. Vacation worthy? Well if you happen to be in Fairfield for a vacation then yes, but is Fairfield a vacation spot? I had a great time with 3 people I just met on that day. I will play again in the future I'm sure.
Would travel: 30-60 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Best course in the area
