This is my home course. Bay Forest has been and it continues to be an excellent one to play.
I played the course one week after it re-opened after Hurricane Ike and the course was in excellent shape. Greens were in great condition and rolled true (9 on stimpmeter that day).
Bay Forest is historically ranked in the top 25 in the state of Texas. Play it when you have the chance. Closing hole (18) is a true test. Plays at 425 yards into the prevailing south wind with a small lake in front of green. You will need an accurate tee and 2nd shot to reach the heavily guarded green. Par is great score - birdie is like winning the US open.

Would travel: 20-30 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Ranks with the best in this price level
