Raleigh Country Club, built in 1948 and updated in 2004, was the last course designed by Donald Ross. Each hole present a different problem, including left and right doglegs and elevation changes. Sam Snead played in the inaugural exhibition tournament, Ellis Maples served as the club’s first Director of Golf, and Arnold Palmer often played RCC during his college years.
The course may not be available for public play. I grew up on this course and last played as a guest around 2010. The course condition was excellent.
Would travel: 0-10 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area
