Our group always travels every Weds to one of almost 50 different courses in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan that are on our list. Some of our group come from over three hours away.
Coyote Run Golf Course is always one of our favorites. It is fun to play and is normally in fine shape. It does get a lot of play since it is is heavy populated area. It is challenging with very large greens which must be navigated with danger around all. Also, they have large undulations. Water comes into play on many of the holes.
We consider this course to be in same range as Green Garden, Heritage Bluffs and Cinder Ridge.
Unfortunately, this year we had some problems with Coyote Run. All of our group-10-12 had made tee times weeks ahead dealing with a fine young lady. On this day a large storm had hit some of the area and this course, which holds water well, was being deluged with many golfers who suddenly wanted to come out and play. Most were local golfers who staff knew well. While our group waited to pay, the man at the desk continued to talk many phone calls and kept permitting people to come in he knew and get out on the course. We we're placed on the back burner indeed.
While on first tee with three groups, two other groups we're placed ahead of us while we waited. Excuses were given however our tee times were almost over 3/4 hour late due to this. And, we had arrived early! This delay in getting on the course had never happened before.
I always recommend this course to all since in the past, but this behavior gives me pause. Worst part was that we were paying full price and people permitted in front of us had the lower price punch cards and we're people the desk and starter knew.
We still had much fun once on the course and like it much. Course was a bit beat up this year with tee boxes not in good shape and greens were not in great shape.
All of our group all stayed and ate and drank at Wiley's eatery after the round. Might be one of the finest we utilize for food and drink.
I have always brought our groups over a couple of times each season but this treatment gives me pause and recommendation is being withheld.
I applaud young lady who we dealt with and the staff at Wiley's but management needs to get a grasp of treatment of golfers not in own entourage.

Researched and took my buddies from NW Indiana over to play Coyote Run. We were not disappointed. Finest course we have played this year in our area. Course conditions, price, staff welcoming was all excellent. We will go back and play at least a couple more times this year. They are doing all correctly in welcoming golfers with a thank you attitude.
