Much improved over the last two years. They finally punched the fairways and the bermuda grass took off well this summer. Didn't areate the fairways for 3 years and they became hard, dried and brown. They also stopped over-seeding with winter rye about 3 years ago so the course isn't in as good a condition as it could be during the winter months.
The greens have always been nice and fair. If you can read a putt you can make it. The poa annua is taking over the 6th green (finally)so that green will match the others by next year.
No matter where we play, we always end up back at Simi Hills for 75% of our rounds and we play over 75 rounds a year. It's just a nice layout, challenging from the Blues and you don't lose balls like other courses.
Would travel: 20-30 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Average course for the area, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
