The course has a pretty easy layout, it's longer than most courses in the area but with the fairways being hard & some hard pan in the roughs....it doesn't seem long due to the extra distance you get off your shots. My favorite thing about the course were the greens. They were in excellent shape and actually bit like they should, compared to hard greens that roll 30 feet even with spin on the ball, so you can attack the pins. For a public course, it is in good shape and worth the extra 10 minute drive if you're tired of playing the other public courses in Bakersfield, plus it is so much less crowded so you can actually enjoy a round without having to wait 5-10 minutes on every hole.
Would travel: 10-20 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
