Overall, a nice course with a sweet layout and plenty of elevation changes. This place was nothing more than a rock-hard cow pasture when it first opened, and the softness of the course seems to get better every year.
Biggest downer is pace of play and accessibility. Way too crowded and extremely slow play most of the season. If you are not into league play, forget about walking on after work.
Understaffing and/or indifferent staffing does not help the overall situation. I can not tell you how many times I have seen overflowing trash receptacles and ambivalent course rangers here at Kingswood. Management just seems to lack the vision or initiative to overcome glaring shortcomings.
I live less than a mile from this course and play elsewhere most of the time for the above reasons. Too bad, really. The course has the potential to be a fine little jewel in this high-quality golf mecca of Upstate NY.
Would travel: 0-10 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Average course for the area
