This course underwent a tremendous renovation after Hurricane Katrina. In 2009, I reported here that the course was closed and nothing was in the works to have it redone. They got the ball rolling and within 2 years of that report got the course opened. Local former PGA Tour golfer Kelly Gibson worked on the redo, which kept the original routing, but upgraded grasses and corrected some course issues. A small drainage canal that crossed several fairways was filled in. The course was given some movement to help with drainage. The green on the 15th hole was moved and made much more challenging. The greens on 9 and 18 are still in the same places, but they were given water features to deal with, and 18 is one of the few carries on the course. It is a locals course, usually not over $30 on the weekdays. There are few bunkers and only a couple of forced shots. The course isn't long or difficult, but there is enough going on there to make you think and work.

This course was rendered unplayable in the wake of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and has not been renovated. There is currently no plan in place to repair or reopen the course.
