My old home course, the course has never been well maintained. The folks that hang around there are nice and everyone makes the best of it, but the course could be so much more with a little time and money. About 10-15 years ago they made some changes that improved the place somewhat, but not enough. There is no sand on the course. Mounding and drainage would help. Greens need to be upgraded to USGA standard - they are horrible when wet. Lots of dead areas due to too many trees and no agronomy to speak of. But, for a place to tee a ball up and go hit it at a cheap price, it's not bad.
Would travel: 10-20 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
