Rumor has it that Chalet Hills is in financial trouble & is to be taken over by the local government. This hot summer appears to have caused problems with burn out and/or fungus with parts of fairways & greens; both areas were shaved to the length of the top of a pool table the day that I played, making for extremely fast putting and difficult "tight lies" in the fairways (i prefer a bit of fluff for my iron shots). I hope the course remains solvent because it is a great layout (very challenging) and nature's delight. What was at one time a very expensive place to play is now a reasonable rate in line with two excellent nearby courses, Foxford Hills & Prairie Isle.
Would travel: 20-30 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
