This is one of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail courses sprinkled over Alabama. This one is about average for the Trail -- some are harder, some are easier, some prettier, some not so much. Played a scramble in early December and got lucky with warm, overcast weather. Playing from the white or orange (comparable to blues most places), this course is fairly easy for a straight hitter. Playing from the purple (back) or from the tips, it can be a challenge. Trail courses are a good deal for the average golfer -- nice layouts, wide range of difficulty, attractive holes, very reasonable prices (even better for state residents, discounted with a Trail Card).
Would travel: 60-120 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
