The owner of Foxfire has no problem putting money into his course. Foxfire has been improving every year and 2008 is no different. The fairways are better than ever, and the greens are as smooth as silk. A true roll will be had on every green, no exceptions. If any criticism could be made of Foxfire, it is that the bunkers are hard. That is all. The layout rewards shot-shaping ability while remaining fair to players who prefer to hit a straight ball, and offers many risk/reward opportunities with reachable par 5's guarded my impeding rough and small creeks. The course is fairly open much of the time, but there are several holes where you may end up in a back-yard if you let your tee shot get away from you. Foxfire winds through a housing development, and it's no secret.
