I had not played it in several weeks and the change in conditioning was extreme. 5 weeks ago it was pretty good but yesterday it looked like a bomb had hit it. I don't understand how it can change so quickly. A lot of the fairways were stripped and dirt . It looked like new sod might be placed in there but there was no warning at all when we made the reservation and at check in. It seems like it would be more cost effective to take care of it in the first place. Unfortunately you never know what you are going to get a Riverwalk.

I play this course somewhat frequently. The maintenance (usually the biggest negative) is getting better and the greens are actually great now.

Played Presedio/Mission. Had a great time and really enjoyed the course conditions. Always enjoy playing Riverwalk.

Very fast pace of play on front-nine (<<2hrs), but then ran into the cross-over (this course has 3 nines and they start people off multiple tees) and were ~2.5hrs on the back-nine. This seriously degraded the quality of our experience.

Harold and Carrie make it a wonderful ambiance. Harold plays golf better than you, and Carrie is the most beautiful cart girl in the county

Beware of the failure to monitor course play. There are 3 nines, and more often than not, you will be surprised when you make the turn. Last week, after following a twosome in slow play, ANOTHER SLOW TWOSOME joined them on the 10th (1st tee of back 9). In addition, another foursome jumped our group on this tee from the other 9 (Friars). Management is probably unaware, allowing volunteer seniors as marshals, and inexperienced kids as starters, run the show. Can be a nice track when properly managed.

Convenient location, nice established course, great practice/learning facility, friendly staff. WYSIWYG. Its not a resort course, but has three fun-to-play nines that I will play again when visiting.

Course was in good shape for the time of the year. Most courses have punched their greens. Riverwalk did theirs earlier than most other courses. There are three nine hole courses here. We played all three and the Mission/Presidio combination is the best. Longer hitters will want to play from the blue tees.

I have not played Riverwalk for over 2 years and took a chance this past weekend. I got a good rate via an on-line tee time service, thus the reason I played it. Sometimes it gets a bit pricey. The course was in very good condition. No patches in the fairway and the greens were rolling very true and fast.
